Characteristics
The aim of the work is to improve the capacity and efficiency of the bulk terminal operations, reduce operating costs and unload time. The works are summarized as follows:
Restore dock No. 3: demolition of part of the superstructure and replacement of deteriorated structural elements. Repair concrete piles.
Enlarging dock No. 3: extension of the current dock with a 215 m long and 22.20 m wide piled structure.
Setting out the rear storage area: Land reclamation and consolidation treatment with stone columns and preload. Installations: drainage, water supply, electricity supply and lighting. Paving roads and yards and fencing.

The key figures of the works are:
Steel Piles: 252 uds.
Reclamation with quarry material: 39.000 m³.
Riprap 500-700 kg: 51.500 Tn.
Dredging: 10.800 m³.
Stone columns: 3.000 ml.
Demolition concrete slab: 2.400 m².
Existing reinforced concrete piles repair: 49 uds.
In situ and precasted elements
Steel reinforcement: 1.800.000 kg.
Concrete: 8.000 m³.
Formworks: 13.200 m².
Bituminous pavement: 17.000 m².
Stone pavement: 4.000 m².
